In this role, the Ultrasound Applications Specialist is responsible for providing technical and clinical applications support during the sales process. This Ultrasound Applications Specialist role is on the ABUS -Automated Breast Ultrasound Team. GE Healthcare is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator.

Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
  • Provide technical and clinical leadership during sales process by demonstrating Automated Breast Ultrasound’s potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers.

  • Deliver product training to customers on equipment use.

  • Be a consultant to the customer as they implement their ABUS programs.

  • Monitor customer installations of Automated Breast ultrasound products within assigned territory/region to improve customer satisfaction and maintain customer relationships.

  • Be a champion and coach to the customer as they launch a successful ABUS program.

  • Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and customer training.

  • Use market and product knowledge to assist sales team in developing sales, marketing and customer service strategies.

  • 80% travelling

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma and  an RDMS certification (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer).

  • Preferably some Mammography experience as well. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience following certification with demonstrated skill in Breast Sonography.

  • Willingness to travel up to 80% both within and outside your specified geographic region with overnight stays depending on geography and business need.

  • Candidate must live close to a major airport.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Candidate will preferably live in the Northeast territory

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Breast Registry or contingent on passing Breast Registry within 1 year of employment.

  • Mammography experience desired.

  • Strong presentation skills (public speaking and lecture experience desired) Solid problem solving skills (ability to manage and resolve conflict, handle objections and negotiate during the sales process)

  • Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process).

  • Willingness to be flexible/adapt to changing work environments Self-motivated, willingness to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve.

  • Basic proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Clinical experience in large hospital/university/breast center setting.
