About WithCoverage:

WithCoverage replaces the traditional insurance brokerage with AI-supercharged risk management designed for the modern economy.

We partner with hundreds of high-growth, category-defining companies, including GoPuff, Eight Sleep, Bombas, Chomps, and Blank Street Coffee. Our clients span iconic consumer brands, hospitality leaders, GCs, advanced manufacturers, and next-generation defense contractors. They operate in complex risk environments and need a partner that can move at their speed.

Instead of a fragmented, manual brokerage stack, we have built a new category: elite risk advisors operating on top of proprietary technology. Our in-house Agency Management System gives our team and AI agents full visibility into policies, exposures, claims, billing, and commissions. This platform enables deep automation, better decisions, and a fundamentally higher standard of service.

WithCoverage was founded by JD Ross (co-founder of Opendoor) and Max Brenner (Bain, Compound). We have raised over $43M from leading investors including Sequoia, 8VC, Khosla Ventures and Crystal Venture Partners.

Our ambition is not to build a better brokerage. It is to redefine how risk is managed across the economy.

Why Join Us:

  • Grow Faster – We’re scaling quickly, giving you significant opportunities to learn, lead, and shape your career and the company's future.
  • Work That Matters – We protect the world’s most innovative brands: consumer icons, hospitality leaders, next-gen defense contractors, and US manufacturers.
  • Redefine an Industry – Insurance is one of the largest, slowest-moving markets. We rewrite the playbook with proprietary technology, automation, and AI.
  • Financial Rewards – We hire the best and invest in you. That means competitive comp, meaningful equity, and excellent benefits. We believe strongly in internal promotion and lay out a plan for everyone's career growth.

About The Role:
As our Claims Administrator, you’ll be the organizational backbone of our claims team. You’ll manage the team’s shared inbox, keep claims moving by making sure the right information gets to the right people, and take on a variety of ad hoc requests that help our Claims Specialists deliver great outcomes for clients. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the commercial insurance claims process from the ground up in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Inbox Management & Triage
    • Monitor and manage the claims team’s shared email inbox, making sure every message is reviewed, sorted, and routed to the right team member promptly.
    • Identify urgent or time-sensitive items (new loss notices, carrier deadlines, client escalations) and flag them for the team.
    • Respond to routine inquiries from clients, carriers, and adjusters, such as acknowledging receipt, requesting missing information, or sharing status updates.
    • Track open requests to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Claims Administrative Support
    • Help prepare and submit first notices of loss (FNOLs) to carriers under the direction of Claims Specialists.
    • Gather, organize, and follow up on claim documentation such as loss runs, photos, invoices, and correspondence.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of claims activity in our proprietary agency management system.
    • Request and organize loss runs for new and existing clients, including support for new business claims audits.
    • Schedule client meetings, claims reviews, and carrier calls, and help prepare materials for them.
  • Ad Hoc & Team Support
    • Take on ad hoc requests from the claims team and broader organization, from research tasks to data pulls to document prep.
    • Help compile data and materials for quarterly claims reviews.
    • Keep shared folders, trackers, and templates organized and current.
    • Serve as a reliable point of coordination between the claims team and other internal teams.
  • Process & Technology
    • Use our claims management tools and automation to work efficiently and accurately.
    • Spot recurring bottlenecks or repetitive tasks in the inbox and suggest ways to streamline them.
    • Learn the claims process on the job, with the opportunity to grow into a Claims Specialist role over time.

Who You Are:

  • Experience
    • 0–2 years of experience in an administrative, customer service, or operations role. Insurance experience is a plus but not required.
    • Interest in learning commercial insurance and the claims process.
  • Skills & Competencies
    • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle many requests at once.
    • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good judgment in prioritizing tasks and knowing when to escalate.
    • Proactive and dependable, able to work independently while being a strong team player.
    • Eager to learn and open to feedback.
  • Tech-Savvy Mindset
    • Comfortable working in a digital-first brokerage environment.
    • Proficient with email, spreadsheets, and shared drives (Google Workspace or similar), and quick to pick up new software.
  • Licensing & Certifications (Preferred, Not Required)
    • Property & Casualty or Adjuster’s License, or willingness to obtain one.
    • Interest in pursuing industry designations such as AIC or CPCU over time.
