Reports to: CEO

We are seeking a highly strategic, execution-oriented Chief of Staff to partner closely with the CEO of Alex + Ani. This role serves as a growth accelerator to the business, focusing on new initiatives that may be too nascent to invest in. The Chief of Staff will lead cross-functional initiatives and bring a data-driven mindset to evaluating priorities and opportunities across the organization. The ideal candidate is wildly self-motivated, curious, and has a strong foundation in understanding a P&L. They should bring strong business judgment and can move fluidly between strategy, operations, and communication in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a strategic extension to the CEO, preparing and reviewing key business analyses to help improve decision-making and organizational clarity.
  • Translate the CEO’s vision into executable plans by coordinating across merchandising, marketing, e-commerce, operations, finance, customer experience, and retail or wholesale partners as applicable.
  • Lead and execute high-priority cross-functional projects, such as new product launches, channel expansion, supply chain initiatives, organizational changes, and growth planning.
  • Monitor key business metrics and synthesize insights into clear recommendations to support timely decision-making.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in strategy, business management, consulting, and/or private equity.
  • Strong understanding of consumer brands, ideally in direct-to-consumer, with fluency in all three financial statements.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create executive-ready materials and communicate with clarity and influence.
  • Highly analytical with strong financial and operational acumen; comfortable working with KPIs, business performance trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and sound judgment, with the ability to build trust and navigate interpersonal dynamics effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
