The Role

We are looking for a highly organized, execution-focused Chief of Staff to support Shift4’s CEO. This role is focused on ensuring seamless communication among stakeholders both internally and externally, tracking key initiatives, and keeping cross-functional efforts on course.

The ideal candidate is a strong project manager, a clear communicator, and thrives in fast-paced environments. They will act as a liaison between the CEO and internal teams, ensuring alignment, follow-through, and streamlined operations. They will also have interactions with external stakeholders including but not limited to, Shift4 Board of Directors, customers, and Shift4 investors and media. 

Please note: We are only looking for candidates in the NJ/PA/NY area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive organization: Manage priorities, track key deliverables, and ensure the CEO’s time is optimized.
  • Meeting & Agenda Management: Track outcomes from leadership and board meetings — support agenda prep, document action items, and ensure follow-ups happen.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Facilitate communication between the CEO and various teams, ensuring alignment and execution of priorities.
  • Project & Task Management: Track ongoing initiatives, drive accountability, and make sure key projects stay on schedule.
  • Communication & Reporting: Draft internal communications, summaries, and executive updates for the CEO.
  • Operational Execution: Support key business processes, including executive planning, special projects, and operational reviews.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Assist with high-priority initiatives requiring cross-team coordination and fast execution.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, or executive support roles.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams and leadership levels.
  • Strong follow-through—able to track initiatives and ensure execution.
  • Proactive problem solver—anticipates needs, removes roadblocks, and takes ownership.
  • Experience in high-growth environments, ideally in fintech, payments, or technology, is a plus.

Base Pay Range:

$140,000 - $190,000 annually
