The Chief Revenue Officer is responsible for developing and executing the organization's global revenue strategy to drive sustainable growth, maximize profitability, and strengthen client relationships. This role provides executive leadership across Sales, Business Development, Revenue Operations, Account Management, Customer Success, and related commercial functions, ensuring alignment among business strategy, operational execution, and customer outcomes, and delivering long-term revenue growth and organizational success.



What does a day in the life of a Chief Revenue Officer look like?


  • Revenue Strategy & Growth

    • Develop and execute the organization's global revenue strategy to achieve sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term business objectives

    • Identify new market opportunities, revenue streams, strategic partnerships, and expansion initiatives

    • o Establish revenue goals, commercial strategies, pricing approaches, forecasting methodologies, and performance expectations

    • Monitor market conditions, competitive intelligence, customer trends, and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making

    • Partner with executive leadership to align revenue strategies with corporate objectives, financial plans, and organizational priorities

  • Sales & Business Development

    • Lead global Sales and Business Development functions to drive customer acquisition, pipeline growth, and revenue generation

    • Establish sales strategies, performance standards, territory planning, pipeline governance, and forecasting processes

    • Evaluate commercial performance and implement initiatives that improve sales productivity, conversion, profitability, and customer acquisition

    • Build and maintain executive relationships with strategic clients, partners, and key stakeholders to support business growth

  • Revenue Operations & Commercial Excellence

    • Oversee Revenue Operations to ensure scalable commercial processes, accurate forecasting, reporting, CRM governance, and operational efficiency

    • Establish performance dashboards, business intelligence, and revenue analytics that support executive decision-making

    • Partner with Finance, Marketing, Technology, and Operations to optimize commercial systems, workflows, and organizational performance

    • Lead initiatives that improve forecasting accuracy, operational visibility, sales effectiveness, and revenue predictability

  • Customer Growth & Retention

    • Oversee Account Management and Customer Success functions to maximize customer satisfaction, retention, expansion, and lifetime value

    • Develop strategies that strengthen customer relationships, improve client outcomes, and increase account growth opportunities

    • Ensure customer feedback, performance metrics, and business insights inform commercial strategy and continuous improvement initiatives

    • Partner with Service Delivery to align customer expectations, operational execution, and long-term client success

  • Executive Leadership

    • Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team on revenue performance, commercial strategy, market opportunities, and organizational growth

    • Lead organizational transformation initiatives that improve scalability, operational excellence, and commercial effectiveness

    • Build, coach, and develop senior leaders across commercial functions while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and high performance

    • Represent the organization during executive meetings, board presentations, strategic planning sessions, client engagements, and industry events

    • Adhere to company policies and procedures

    • Meet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs

    • Continuously improve knowledge of commercial strategy, customer experience, market trends, revenue operations, and industry best practices through training and learning initiatives

    • Maintain a positive, professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times

    • Perform other duties as assigned

What are the required qualifications for a Chief Revenue Officer?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Management, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive leadership experience in sales, business development, revenue operations, account management, customer success, or related commercial functions

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of executive leadership experience leading multiple revenue-generating business functions

  • Proven experience developing and executing revenue growth strategies within a BPO, customer experience, technology, SaaS, or related services organization is preferred

  • Demonstrated success leading large, geographically distributed, cross-functional organizations and senior leadership teams

  • Strong knowledge of revenue strategy, sales operations, forecasting, pipeline management, pricing, customer lifecycle management, and commercial performance metrics

  • Experience leading organizational transformation, operational optimization, and strategic growth initiatives

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, revenue forecasting, profitability analysis, and executive business planning

  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and executive influencing skills

  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms, business intelligence solutions, revenue analytics, and performance reporting tools to support strategic decision-making

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and executive decision-making skills with the ability to balance long-term strategy and operational execution

  • Ability to build strong partnerships with executive leadership, board members, clients, and strategic business partners

  • Commitment to operational excellence, customer success, innovation, continuous improvement, and sustainable business growth
