The Chief Architect is responsible for developing the enterprise architecture for the company's entire suite of products. This position defines and leads highly complex initiatives that require in-depth knowledge across the architectural domain of company products. The Chief Architect has organizational influence to drive long-term and cohesive cloud platform strategies which provide specific business value and competitive advantage.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provide technical leadership in the development and deployment of architecture vision and strategies across the company's entire portfolio 
  • Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide enterprise architecture decision making 
  • Develop architecture strategies to maintain consistency, integrity, and maintainability across the product suite 
  • Review and approve product architectures for new systems and integrations 
  • Lead the development and execution of a communication and education plan for the organizations architects
  • Lead the business-wide technical and business discussions relative to future enterprise design platform direction 
  • Lead teams of other business, technical, and enterprise architects in designing and developing new solutions 
  • Define principles that guide technology decisions and the relationships between enterprise business context and specified technology 
  • Create strategic vision and collaborate with executive management to define and ensure success of strategy in alignment with organizational objectives 
  • Oversee the development of future leaders and assist in identifying leadership potential within the team that aligns with the people strategy 
  • Act as a strategic influencer to internal and external peers, industry groups, and/or customers 
  • Serve as the final escalation point for highest priority issues; provide direction and guidance to assist with resolution of issues 
  • Work closely with appropriate stakeholders and business leaders to ensure success to drive collaborative work across departments 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 15+ years of experience in related field 
  • Minimum 10 years prior experience in agile and scrum methodologies. 
  • Experienced in the use of metrics to drive high velocity of outcomes while ensuring that all outcomes meet the definition of done 
  • Expert level experience with continuous software delivery
  • Expert level experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design 
  • Expert level experience in understanding and application of software design, design patterns, architecture patterns, and quality attributes 
  • Expert level knowledge and application of modern software development lifecycle processes from product conception through deployment 
  • Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills 
  • Exceptional collaboration skills, applied successfully within a team as well as other areas 
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in communicating with customers a must
  • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Exceptional ability to self-motivate and direct
  • Superior analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Entrepreneurial personality strong sense of urgency
  • Enthusiasm and ability to mentor less experienced team members
  • Bachelor degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
