As Channel Operations and Strategy Director you will be responsible for bridging the gap between our global channel vision and strategy and the operationalization of key initiatives that elevate our channel programs. You’ll craft and execute innovative strategies that ensure we’re maximizing the potential of our channel partnerships, and your work will directly impact the efficiency, effectiveness, and success of our channel business.
You have a proven track record in designing and managing high-impact channel programs, and you will lead the development of channel data analytics and operational processes. You’ll elevate cross-functional collaboration and drive improvements that increase sales productivity and the overall health of our channel business.
This is a remote opportunity within the US and Canada.
What we're looking for:
- 8-10 years of experience in operations, program management, or strategy, ideally within a SaaS or tech environment.
- Strong experience in designing and managing channel programs, with a focus on driving results and operational excellence.
- Proven ability to develop and implement data analytics models to measure and improve channel performance.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and adapt channel operations to meet evolving business needs.
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and product teams.
- Leadership experience in managing and developing teams, with a focus on enabling team success.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Expertise in automation and building infrastructure to optimize day-to-day channel operations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams.
What you can expect:
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of channel programs in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, finance, and marketing.
- Develop and manage channel data analytics, insights, and operational processes, ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build and evolve methodologies for channel knowledge management, forecasting, reporting, pricing, promotions, and communications.
- Take overall accountability for analytical models reflecting the health of 1Password’s channel business.
- Champion automation initiatives to streamline channel operations and boost sales productivity.
- Lead the channel business planning process and ensure its alignment with broader company goals.
- Oversee the execution of all channel initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (sales ops, finance, supply chain, product management, marketing) to ensure effective representation of channel initiatives in the overall go-to-market strategy.
- Manage the program and project management processes for operational, marketing, and channel sales productivity initiatives.
- Coach and mentor team members, enabling them to execute on key initiatives with efficiency and expertise.
- Collaborate with the product management team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for channel partners.
USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $179,000 USD and $242,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $168,000 CAD and $228,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but we also recognize that some in-person connection with team members and customers is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. This may include but is not limited to bi-annual department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across EMEA, Canada and/or the USA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
