The Channel Category Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and execution of category strategies across our portfolio. This role leverages data-driven insights to analyze sales trends, monitor competitive activity, evaluate product performance, and identify growth opportunities. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for power equipment or consumer durable goods. This role will focus on all Husqvarna channels.

What You Need to Know:

Category Performance Analysis:
Monitor and analyze category performance across multiple channels. Provides actionable insights to drive sales, margin, and market share improvements.

Market and Competitor Research:
Track and benchmark OPE market trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings to inform category strategy and product development.

Assortment & Pricing Optimization:
Support decisions related to SKU rationalization, new product introductions, and pricing strategies based on data from POS systems, syndicated sources and internal sales data.

Promotional Insight:
Analyze the impact of promotions, seasonal programs, and marketing initiatives on category performance; provide recommendations for future campaigns.

Reporting and Dashboards:
Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and tools to visualize category trends and internal shipment data.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with product managers, finance, marketing, and sales to align strategy and execute category initiatives effectively.

Strategy Support:

Supports Channel Managers in strategic program decision making. Provides insight into where we could sell more products and what we could sell with.

 

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree in, Business Administration or relevant field.

• 2-4 years experience of category positions.

•  Previous experience in high-volume fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred

• Strong knowledge of analyzing data and providing insights

• Experience with POWERBI and how to create an effective reporting dashboard

• Strong analytical skills, including a demonstrated ability to synthesize, interpret, and communicate market and competitive data 

• Proficient in MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary company information
