Job Description:

Role Overview

The Change Enablement Director will lead and grow Epiq Advisory for Law Firms' Change Enablement practice, helping law firms and legal departments translate strategy, innovation, AI and technology investments into lasting behavioural change and measurable business outcomes. As a trusted advisor to our clients, the Director will design and deliver change strategies that drive adoption, workflow integration, value realisation and organisational adaptation across initiatives involving AI, knowledge management, data, search, process improvement and legal operations.

Combining deep expertise in change leadership with an understanding of legal culture, the Director will guide clients through the human, organisational and operational challenges of transformation. This includes building executive sponsorship, developing adoption and enablement frameworks and programs, coaching leaders, creating networks of champions, measuring success, and embedding new ways of working into the fabric of the organisation.

The successful candidate will bring a practical and evidence-based approach to change, drawing on established frameworks such as Kotter, Prosci ADKAR, Bridges or similar models while recognising that sustainable transformation is achieved through behavioural change, workflow redesign, leadership engagement, and organisational adaptation – not communication and training alone. They will also play a leading role in shaping Epiq's go-to-market offerings, methodologies and thought leadership in legal change enablement, AI adoption, and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to law firm and corporate legal leadership on change strategy, adoption planning, and transformation risk across Epiq’s advisory and implementation initiatives

  • Lead and deliver enterprise‑scale change enablement engagements for law firms and legal departments, including both stand‑alone change programs and embedded workstreams within broader advisory initiatives

  • Assess organizational readiness, stakeholder impact, and change fatigue across partners, associates, professional staff, and business services teams in complex, multi‑initiative environments

  • Apply behavioural science, adoption psychology, and evidence-based change approaches to design interventions that drive sustainable behaviour change amongst lawyers and business professionals.

  • Translate firm strategy and advisory recommendations into practical, lawyer‑centric adoption and enablement plans that account for legal culture, risk sensitivity, billable hour pressures, and governance requirements

  • Design and execute end-to-end change programs, including stakeholder analysis, readiness and impact assessments, adoption roadmaps, communications, training strategies, and reinforcement models

  • Guide clients through AI-enabled transformation that impacts not only technology adoption, but also professional judgement, workflow and practice redesign, decision-making practices, knowledge management, client service delivery, and workforce capabilities.

  • Identify and proactively manage adoption risks, resistance patterns, and fatigue, particularly in firms undergoing overlapping or sequential transformations

  • Define and measure adoption success through a combination of usage, proficiency, behavioural change, workflow integration, stakeholder sentiment, business outcomes, and value realization metrics.

Legal‑Centric Enablement & Leadership

  • Partner with KM, AI, Innovation, IT and leadership teams to redesign workflows, remove adoption friction, embed change into existing ways of working, and create sustainable operating models.

  • Translate complex technology and operating model changes into clear, role‑basedrole based messaging and enablement tailored to legal audiences

  • Design learning and enablement programs for partners, associates, paralegals, practice support, and business services professionals

  • Coach executive sponsors, practice leaders, and influential stakeholders to visibly champion transformation initiatives and create the conditions required for adoption at scale, including building and activating networks of champions, influencers, and change agents across functions.

  • Lead stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and feedback loops to surface resistance, pain points, and adoption barriers

Practice Development & Growth

  • Lead the development and evolution of Epiq Advisory’s Change Enablementmethodologies, maturity models, diagnostic tools, and adoption frameworks tailored to the legal industry.

  • Shape change enablement approaches within proposals, SOWs, and client presentations, in collaboration with other practice leads

  • Contribute to business development and thought-leadership efforts by articulating the value of change enablement as a core driver of ROI and transformation success

  • Represent change and enablement perspectives across complex, multi‑workstream client engagements

  • Stay current on legal industry trends, emerging technologies (including AI and agentic workflows), and evolving best practices in legal change and enablement

Internal Leadership & Capability Building

Mentor and support internal consultants and client teams on  practice change and enablement approaches in legal environments

Support clients in building sustainable internal change capability, including governance models, enablement frameworks, and role clarity

Collaborate with Epiq Advisory leadership to align change enablement with KM, AI, data, search and experience management practices
