This dynamic initiative is advancing the future of electronic warfare with the Electromagnetic Battle Management (EMBM) system. As a Senior Principal Software Engineer III, you will serve as the technical architect and lead software designer for EMBM, setting the foundation for next-generation capabilities that disrupt adversary long range kill chains.

Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

What You'll Do
- Execute a software EMBM architecture that integrates multiple EMBM functions into a comprehensive EMBM Engine while advancing open architecture initiatives.
- Define and orchestrate the EMBM technical roadmap, aligning capability development and delivery with a comprehensive EMBM vision.
- Serve as the software technical interface to customers, presenting architecture concepts, leading technical interchange meetings and aligning system designs with mission needs.
- Drive innovation using modern C++ in Linux environments, with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud-native architectures and supporting real-time processing pipelines.
- Collaborate with Systems, Hardware and Test teams on system-level integration of advanced electronic warfare capabilities.
- Mentor and guide software engineers, fostering technical excellence and future technical leaders.
- Champion Agile and DevSecOps practices with CI/CD pipelines, automated test environments, and secure development standards.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in in embedded and application software development in C++ on Linux platforms.
- Strong foundation in Object-Oriented design and system architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, drive architecture decisions, and deliver complex systems.
- Experience with software engineering processes, methodologies, testing, validation, and verification.
- Proven success influencing system-level design and integration across large programs.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills with experience briefing senior stakeholders.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering.
- Background in electronic warfare, radar, or communication systems.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Experience with Agile mythologies and full life-cycle development.
- Hands-on experience with Atlassian Suite, ClearCase, Git/Bit Bucket, or CI/CD frameworks.
- Demonstrated success as a technical lead or customer-facing engineering architect.
