Category Analyst at a Glance....
The Category Analyst will leverage 84.51 Stratum & Market 6, Circana, Numerator, PowerBI, and other tools as needed to develop and provide both routine reporting and in-depth analytics to be provided to the advising team. Category Analyst's goal will be to discover trends in purchase frequency, buy rate, shopper demographics, cross-shop, penetration, and category leakage within POS & shopper data to develop business-growing recommendations. The Category Analyst will achieve this by pulling data from multiple sources, manipulating large sets of data in MS Excel and building presentations in MS PowerPoint.
The ideal Category Analystwill be intellectually curious, an expert in heavy technical skillsets and large data management, excel at consumer insights and storytelling, and possess strong time & project management skills. We are looking for a team member who will be knowledgeable in key Kraft Heinz categories, Kroger's shoppers, insight development, efficient assortment recommendations, and optimal shelf placement.
The Category Analyst will support Kroger's reset process, which entails providing best-in-class planogram recommendations. This team member will support and provide assortment analysis, white space discovery, and SKU optimization recommendations for the team and customer in preparation for the reset process.
What's on the menu? • Support a best-in-class reset process for Kroger• Aggregate and train on best practices developed across the category leadership team• Draw key insights and business recommendations on distribution, assortment, pricing, and promotion by analysis of customer & syndicated data• Develop and integrate consumer, shopper, and retailer insights to better advise targeted strategies, plans and decisions • Integrate data to develop impactful customer-specific selling stories in support of key category business-growing priorities• Implement Kraft Heinz Foods shelving principles and standards
Recipe for Success - apply now if this sounds like you! • Applicable experience in consumer-packaged goods industry (Food or Beverage ideal)• Demonstrated space management software skills (JDA ideal)• Demonstrated retail POS, syndicated, and panel data knowledge eg: 84.51 Stratum & Market6, Circana, Numerator, PowerBI, and other tools for in-depth analytics• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability • Ability to comprehend and sell space management concepts within the context of category management • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints• Ability to adapt in a changing work environment• Tested experience with Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel
Work Environment & Schedule
This position is considered a normal office environment with no anticipated travel to customer locations, stores, manufacturing facilities, etc. Additionally, this role requires work a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations.
Physical Requirements • Operate a computer and view screens for ~100% of work schedule • No travel required

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$77,800.00 - $97,300.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
