At Skillsoft, we believe skills fuel growth. Our mission is to empower every organization and every learner to turn constant change into continuous growth. As part of the team, your skills will help organizations understand what skills they have, what they need next, and how to apply them in ways that drive real performance and progress.
Campaign Operations Specialist
As a Campaign Operations Specialist at Skillsoft, you’ll be a core part of the engine that turns Growth Marketing strategy into executable, measurable campaigns and a driver of how we make that engine smarter. This is an AI-first role: where you will have the opportunity to approach every workflow by asking how AI can execute it faster, more accurately, and at greater scale. Reporting into Campaign Operations within Growth Orchestration, you will own the build, quality, and optimization of marketing automation programs across MCAE (Pardot) and Salesforce, while partnering with the Campaign Operations Lead to advance our data taxonomy, process optimization, and channel insights.
A defining part of this role is keenly identifying, building, and scaling AI-enabled ways of working that go well beyond native MCAE/SFDC capabilities. You won’t just use AI where it already exists; you will continuously find new places to embed it. This role is ideal for someone with deep marketing automation expertise and a genuine AI-first mindset who thrives on precision, loves eliminating manual work, and wants to help build a modern, intent-driven, AI-enabled demand generation motion.
Responsibilities
You will execute the core of our campaign operations while helping the team work smarter, partnering with the Campaign Operations Lead to advance data, process, and AI across the function.
- Campaign Build & Execution: Own the end-to-end design, build, and execution of marketing campaigns across email, nurture, and event channels, aligned to campaign strategy and SLAs.
- Nurture & Lifecycle Programs: Build, QA, and continuously optimize multi-stage nurture flows and lifecycle journeys that move prospects through the buyer’s journey.
- Audience Segmentation: Develop and implement precise audience segmentation to ensure highly targeted, personalized campaign delivery.
- Data Taxonomy & Field Architecture: Partners with the Campaign Ops Lead on taxonomy, field mappings, and naming across MCAE, SFDC, Data Cloud and 6sense.
- Process Optimization: Finds workflow friction and helps design streamlined, automated processes.
- Channel Insights & Reporting: Turns performance data into actionable insight.
- AI Workflows & Tooling: Applies AI workflows beyond native MCAE/SFDC to accelerate builds, QA, data cleanup, and insight generation.
- Automation & Scale: Prototypes lightweight AI-assisted automations to scale without headcount.
- Lead Management (Scoring & Routing): Support scoring and routing models so high-quality leads are assigned accurately and quickly to BDRs and Sales.
- SFDC Campaign & Data Governance: Maintain SFDC campaign creation, sync, and hygiene so campaign membership and attribution are accurate and reportable.
- Quality Assurance: Rigorously QA every build — audience, links, tracking, personalization, and rendering — before launch, ensuring error-free delivery.
- Compliance & Deliverability: Ensure all campaign activity adheres to data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM) and internal governance standards, protecting sender reputation and deliverability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Campaign Operations, Field Marketing, Campaign Managers, BDR, Marketing Ops and IT — providing operational support and technical guidance while contributing to shared taxonomy, process, and reporting standards.
- Process & AI Documentation: Document campaign processes, SOPs, and AI-enabled workflows so they are repeatable, teachable, and scalable across the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional campaign operations, marketing automation, or email marketing experience with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Pardot / MCAE Expertise: Deep, hands-on expertise in Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) — program builds, engagement studio, scoring, and lead nurturing best practices.
- Strong working knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including how MCAE integrates with Sales Cloud, campaign objects, and lead flow.
- AI-First Mindset: Hands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate work, evaluate data, and automate tasks — and a demonstrated habit of reaching for AI first to solve problems.
- Data & Taxonomy Aptitude: Comfort working with data structures, field mappings, and naming conventions, with an eye for consistency and governance.
- Technical & Analytics Skills: Practical knowledge of HTML/CSS for email, plus experience with UTM tagging and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker, HockeyStack) for accurate tracking and insight.
- A/B Testing: Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests to improve subject lines, CTAs, creative, and overall performance.
- Must be AI-First Thinking: Instinctively looks for how AI can do the work better, faster, or at greater scale before defaulting to a manual approach.
- Be detail oriented with precision and accuracy across every campaign build, data segment, and report.
- Ability to turn campaign and channel data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Project Management: Ability to organize, prioritize, and drive multiple campaigns to on-time completion.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication of technical detail to both technical and non-technical partners.
- Curiosity & Learning Agility: Genuine enthusiasm for adopting new tools, AI workflows, and ways of working as the function evolves.
