Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Consultant to join the Corporate Plans Investment Team (CPIT) within Wealth & Investment Management (WIM). The team supports the named investment fiduciary for Wells Fargo employee retirement plans, including the Wells Fargo & Company 401(k) Plan and Cash Balance Plan.
In this role, you will support investment operations, reporting, data quality, and risk and control activities for employee benefit plans governed by ERISA. You will partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to maintain strong controls, accurate reporting, and effective governance across plan investments.

In this role, you will:
- Execute, validate, and maintain business procedures and operational controls supporting employee benefit plan investments
- Serve as a key point of contact for Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Audit, IT & Validation (IT&V), and related risk partners
- Act as a primary contact for external vendors, including fiduciary reporting, data validation, and investment-related projects
- Support investment manager due diligence, including reporting analysis and annual fee controls
- Assist with liquidity management for designated employee retirement plans
- Monitor and ensure data quality, accuracy, and control effectiveness across investment reporting processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency while maintaining strong governance
- 2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience analyzing controls, procedures, and process documentation
- Experience working with Risk, Audit, Compliance, or Control partners in a regulated environment
- Background in data validation, reconciliation, or reporting quality assurance, particularly related to financial or investment data
- Experience collaborating with external vendors or third-party service providers, including reporting oversight and issue resolution
- Exposure to investment operations, financial operations, benefits administration, or related enterprise functions
- Quantitative research or data analysis experience
- Institutional asset manager or investment research experience
- Understanding and working knowledge of ERISA-governed retirement plans, such as 401(k), Cash Balance, or pension plans
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with investment or financial research tools such as Morningstar or FactSet
- Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across cross-functional teams
- Experience identifying and supporting process improvement initiatives
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule
