Business Systems Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather requirements using various techniques including JAD and one-on-one interviews
• Write clear and detailed functional specifications on new and enhances system functionality
• Work directly with development staff on a project team to implement proposed functionality
• Communicate with the business sponsor and stakeholders on proposed design and gather feedback on implemented designs
• Act as central point of contact for developers and QA staff throughout duration of project
• Provide updates on deliverables to the project manager on a timely basis

Required Skills

• Ability to learn systems by investigation and inquiry
• Thorough understanding of either Waterfall or Agile/Scrum SDLC
• Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external customers
• Self-starter abilities in order to quickly come up to speed on project assignments

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years as a systems analyst working in a technical environment; experience in requirements gathering and specification writing in designated area: business rules, workflow and screen design

Some travel to the office or elsewhere may be required for team meetings, client meetings, etc. We are accepting applications on an ongoing basis until filled. Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $58,000-$85,000.
