The Business Systems Analyst will provide direct support for the Equity, Fixed Income or Advisory trading desk systems and projects. Help maintain a compliant and successfully functioning trading desk. The analyst will be a dedicated resource for system maintenance, enhancements, and troubleshooting to help reduce risk to the firm. Provide support to projects as it relates to business requirements and technology. Communicate implementation & technology related information to the business, and assist with validation, while providing guidance to determine system requirements and the best solution. Design, test, and debug applications with assistance from others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and resolve routine and less complex problems for the business as it relates to business requirements and technology.  Support projects in identifying routine business requirements, projects, and process specifications within the identified team.

  • Provide input and guidance to the business on determining the best solutions and system requirements for their specific needs.  Assist with test plan development and execution.  

  • Build and test applications, as well as trouble-shoot and resolve routine and less-complex problems for the business as it relates to business requirements and technology.

  • Assist with gathering requirements across business partners and develop test plans and execution.  

 
Required Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent (2-years)

  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience.

  • *Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience.

  • General understanding of the business unit and the ability to understand technology as it relates to the business.

  • Ability to provide accurate, timely, and adaptable services to the business unit.

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships within the business unit. 

  • Strong understanding of one or more applications within the trading platform.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4-years)

  • Experience in the financial services industry

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Series 7

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $54,000 - $74,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
