Genesys is in hyper-growth mode. The mission of Genesys Product Business Strategy & Operations team is to support Genesys Product leadership to develop growth strategy and drive strategic & operational initiatives to ensure the strategy is executed successfully. 

As a Business Strategy and Operations Summer Analyst, you will grow your program management, analytics skills, and business acumen to execute our Cloud strategy. You will play a critical role in measuring our success through the creation of dashboards and reports. In this role, you will be exposed to many aspects of the Genesys Cloud business, especially to business analytics. Additionally, you will add value by working with cross-functional teams within and beyond the Genesys Product organization to ensure business strategy are executed in a timely manner within scope. We are seeking a talent who is an analytical and structured problem solver, a strong relationship builder, and can manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract usage, revenue and telemetry data from petabyte-scale data warehouses
  • Build Python or R notebooks to conduct cohort analysis, churn modelling and opportunity sizing
  • Evaluate competitive landscapes across cloud contact center, generative AI and adjacent markets; prepare concise briefing documents for quarterly business reviews and board updates
  • Translate analytical findings into executive-ready memos, dashboards and presentations; present insights to VP through C-suite stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current undergraduate (BA) or graduate student (M.S. or MBA) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline
  • Demonstrated proficiency in:
    • SQL (common table expressions, window functions, performance tuning)
    • Python (pandas, scikit-learn, Jupyter) or R (tidyverse, caret, R Markdown)
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex analyses succinctly to non-technical audiences
    • Be a proactive self-starter with the ability to multi-task, work independently, prioritize, and get things done
    • Ability to build productive & positive working relations with co-workers with varying technical & business backgrounds
    • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a desire to tackle ambiguous and varied projects in support of the Product Strategy & Ops team

*This is a paid internship and rate will be dependent on school year and experience*

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
