The Business Application Portfolio Principal role is focused on understanding market trends & best practices in a functional area, working with functional leadership to identify business transformation opportunities, then bringing the business transformation opportunities and market trends together into a roadmap for a specific application (typically the primary application) for that area. The role is then responsible for working with business leadership to develop the business case for technology changes, leading the business analysis & solution design for the technology and associated process transformation, overseeing the solution development and deployment, and leading various functional leaders and teams through the technology transformation(s) to achieve improved business performance.
What you'll do:
Provide direct advice to business leaders to influence their POV on how the core technology for their functional area will evolve, driving change in their business, complex business issues in a functional area – future roadmap evolution, builds, etc.
Work with functional leadership to scope high priority work, identify the ROI/Business case for associated technical work; identify and articulate business benefits from changes to business processes, technology application, and data & advanced analytics.
Develop the application roadmap for the core application, based on both IT strategy and business strategy; decompose roadmap into phases and steps to realize value.
Identify specific process needs, gaps and pain points and resulting process or technical projects for a specific solution, aligned with strategic roadmap.
Lead business analysis to design solutions for business issues, leveraging native solution capabilities where possible in maximizing user experience.

Oversee development, testing, integration and implementation of technical solutions for an solution area (custom solutions and packaged solutions), ensuring product runs well in production.
Acts as a trusted partner to the leadership of a functional area; guiding functional leadership & steering committees through the technology driven transformation efforts related to a specific product and/or process.
Leads Business team leads through technology driven transformation, partnering with team leads to drive transformation through business teams.
What you'll bring:
3-5 years related experience working with Information Systems; experience in multiple systems a plus (Gainsight, Salesforce).
Strong interpersonal & communication skills: Professional and positive in interactions with others and able to build strong working relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in both written and oral forms; Effective presentation of ideas to larger groups.
Able to lead teams through a change in direction in response to changing work situations.
Able to lead effective action without having all the facts at hand
Demonstrates emotional control & composure even under high stress.
Efficiently & creatively solves difficult, complex problems that affect other groups.
Challenges the status quo.
Experience in gathering feedback and following up on action plans.
History and knowledge of data analysis to support proposed process definition, monitor adherence, and communicate performance results.

The starting base pay is $87,700.00 to $114,200.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.Benefits Include:
