This is a critical role which enables the organization and the Business Optimization and Simplification team to accelerate the company's operational transformation by identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency, scale, and simplification. A successful applicant for this highly strategic role is expected to (i) Lead process improvement and simplification efforts across business units to reduce inefficiencies and role ambiguity, (ii) Drive the design and implementation of automation solutions to eliminate manual work and streamline operations, and (iii) Build scalable processes, governance models, and standard operating procedures to support the company's long-term growth (vi) Motivate and influence behavior change and mindset shift towards adopting the simplified culture. This role is responsible for leading high-impact initiatives across functional teams and directly supporting operational and strategic priorities of the executive team. They must act as a transformation catalyst across the business, effectively engaging cross-functional leaders, managing change, and delivering measurable results in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. Education requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; Experience requirements include: 15+ years of relevant work experience in operations, process improvement, or business transformation roles

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead structured problem-solving efforts by bringing clarity to ambiguous situations (e.g., breaking down complex issues, generating hypotheses, and driving alignment)
  • Analyze complex business processes end-to-end and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and root causes of operational friction, estimate impact potential and track progress
  • Own the delivery of multiple optimization initiatives from design to implementation of streamlined, scalable, and user-friendly process steps across multiple departments
  • Define and identify owners on KPIs to measure process health, performance, and value realization
  • Synthesize change and communicate to leadership to inform of progress and impact
  • Identify opportunities for automation (e.g., RPA, low-code platforms, workflow automation) and partner with IT to implement automation solutions and support business teams with change management to ensure effective Automation adoption
  • Ability to identify gaps and push back on direction to ensure the right action is taken to benefit the organization holistically
  • Comfortable analyzing heavy data sets using Tableau, SQL, Excel, or other tools to draw insights and implications to drive towards outcome, able to coach others on data analysis tools
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with Director+ community to brainstorm new initiatives as well as provide executive updates on status of current initiatives
  • Work closely with stakeholders across levels and functions (e.g., Ops, Finance, Engineering, HR, Sales) to drive adoption and sustainability
  • Create executive-level verbal and written analyses, insights, and reports that support proactive data-driven recommendations
  • Communicate clearly, influence without authority, and build trust at all levels of the organization
  • Champion a continuous improvement mindset and coach others in process thinking
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

  • Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies
  • Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications
  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CG mission, vision and values.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Engineering or Science

Experience:

  • 15+ years experience applying Lean Six Sigma principles across multiple functionals
  • Lead process simplification and implementation across functions with sustained impact
  • Ability to take ambiguous problem, structure and simplify into action plan and next steps
  • Comfortable dealing with large data sets and analyze data

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively lead projects from conception to conclusion, both independently and in a team environment (including working with both internal and external business partners)
  • Expert knowledge with Microsoft Applications such as PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint, and Proficient in flow charting software or process mapping software, such as Visio
  • Highly analytical and data-driven with strong judgment and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver thought-provoking analysis and provide clear, concise recommendations
  • Self-starter with a bias for results-oriented action and ability to operate in high-ambiguity situations

Other:

  • Able to travel up to 20% - domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Engineering or Science, Industrial Engineering Degree

Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience deploying Lean Six Sigma expertise in manufacturing and service industry across both manufacturing and non-manufacturing functions
  • Lead process simplification and implementation across functions with sustained impact
  • Ability to take ambiguous problem, structure and simplify into action plan and next steps
  • Comfortable dealing with large data sets and analyze data
  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., RPA, Power Automate, UiPath, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with ERP (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and CRM systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Microsoft (e.g., PPT, Excel, PowerBI)
  • Data tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel)
The pay range for this position is $142,721.00 - $235,144.50; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
