ClickHouse is actively seeking an experienced Business Intelligence / Data Analytics Lead to own master data management and reporting across our Operations’ and Go To Market teams, focusing on sales and support datasets. In this critical role, you will become an integral part of our organization, collaborating with the GTM teams (Sales, Partner, Support) and corresponding operations teams, along with our internal Product Analytics Data Warehouse (DWH) Team to help us scale in our next phase of growth. This is a hybrid role that will own the data pipelines for key operational teams and also generate the reporting and analytics.  Our centralized DWH team will support you in the former, but you will own the work streams associated with the teams you support from beginning to end. 

What you will do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain end to end data warehouse on behalf of the Operations’ team
  • Manage related data molding work and optimize Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes
  • Some data engineering work needed to connect current data sources into the ClickHouse DWH
  • Own Master Data Management across the Operations’ function, including data dictionary creation and management
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility
  • Develop reusable reports and dashboards that become the “sources of truth” for respective functions, like Support, Sales, Partners
  • Design and maintain the “all company” metrics’ dashboards
  • Partner with central DWH team to ensure that Ops adheres to best practices, naming conventions
  • Partner with central DWH team to extend AI functionality across Operations’ metrics (i.e. the DWAINE, Data Warehouse AI Natural Expert, project)
  • Partner with Finance and Operations team members to ensure alignment on data definitions
  • Develop and implement a set of audit reports across operational processes to validate the accuracy and efficiency of automations and integrations. This includes creating data snapshots to preserve audit history and historical reporting
  • Perform ad hoc analyses as needed and create clear and concise visualizations to communicate findings 
  • Implement Tableau or related BI tool to ensure ease of use 
  • Lead enablement sessions to drive self service across stakeholder teams
  • Potential expansion to support other teams, e.g., HR, Marketing, Finance
  • Partner with Security team to ensure proper protocols are maintained to safeguard our data

What you bring:

  • 7+ years of experience with SQL and data analysis
  • 2+ at a fast-paced technology company
  • Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries and creating optimized views
  • Experience with Python and R preferred
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Superset)
  • Familiarity with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes  
  • Proven track record of translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience creating clear, impactful data visualizations
  • Background in data modeling and database design
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • DBT experience preferred 
  • ClickHouse experience is a plus
  • Superset experience is a plus
The typical starting salary for this role in the US is
$108,800$172,800 USD
The typical starting salary for this role in US Premium Markets is
$136,000$200,000 USD
Compensation

For roles based in the United States, the typical starting salary range for this position is listed above. In certain locations, such as Los Angeles, CA, the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, the Seattle, WA, Area, and the New York City Metro Area, a premium market range may apply, as listed.

These salary ranges reflect what we reasonably and in good faith believe to be the minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation may be higher or lower than the amounts listed, and the ranges may be subject to future adjustments.

An individual’s placement within the range will depend on various factors, including (but not limited to) education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, performance, and the needs of the business or organization.
