About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a senior level individual contributor to serve as Business Testing Governance Leaderwithin the Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) Chief Product Office. This role owns the strategy, standards, and end-to-end test quality across WIM product teams. The mission is to deliver consistent, risk-aware, and efficient testing that accelerates time-to-market without sacrificing quality-through clear standards, rigorous pre-release evidence reviews, disciplined release gating, and continuous optimization of testing practices, including automation and shift-left approaches.
Success will be measured by improved production stability, faster delivery cycles with stronger coverage, sustainable automation, and audit-ready test evidence.

In this role, you will:
1. Establish and Maintain Testing Standards
- Define and continuously evolve comprehensive testing standards across WIM product teams.
- Govern exceptions and waivers, ensuring standards adapt based on outcomes, evidence, and emerging risks.
- Drive adoption of testing tools and best practices across all product teams.
- Own end-to-end accountability for test quality outcomes across all WIM product teams.
- Design and operate a distributed governance model by appointing Test Quality Leads within each product team as the execution arm of centralized standards.
- Ensure consistent execution of test planning, coverage validation, non-functional testing, evidence management, regression maintenance, automation prioritization, and post-release defect analysis through these delegated leads.
- Review test plans, results, and evidence to confirm compliance with standards and adequate end-to-end coverage.
- Require concise testing risk summaries for release tollgates and leadership sign-off.
- Enforce compliance and pause launches when minimum standards are not met.
- Own strategic roadmap to shift testing left and expand automation for faster cycles and in-sprint regression.
- Build and execute business cases for automation, tooling, test data, and environments.
- Partner with Product and Technology teams to reduce test cycle time and production incidents.
- Champion GenAI-enabled solutions to improve test coverage, acceptance criteria quality, and automated testing.
- Maintain dashboards and metrics on standards adherence, test coverage, defect trends, and residual risk; publish insights to leadership.
- 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Proven record of transforming test processes, improving test quality, optimizing workflows, and leveraging best-in-class test management and automation solutions.
- Deep understanding of wealth management products, services, and regulatory landscape.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence at senior levels and drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience leading Agile Product and/or Technology Quality teams.
- Experience working closely with both Business (Product/UAT) and Technology teams to optimize end-to-end quality processes.
- Familiarity with GenAI applications in testing and requirements quality.
