The Business Development Senior Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving volume growth by expanding Juul Labs product distribution in independent / chain retailers and key distributors. A successful BDM is a “hunter” that identifies new business opportunities, builds relationships with clients, closes Juul Labs product expansion deals and develops strategies and programs to increase distribution and volume.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategies focused on expanding distribution and opening new chain retail doors (Convenience, Supermarkets, Drug Stores, Value Outlets, Mass Merchandisers, Specialty Retail)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential new chain
- retail clients, acting as the primary point of contact
- Prepare and negotiate sales proposals, contracts, and presentations
- Close distribution agreements with chain retailers, build and
- implement initial distribution plans and sign merchandising agreements before
- passing accounts off to Strategic or Region Account Teams for ongoing management
- Develop and implement strategies to expand distribution and open
- new independent doors
- Identify new market opportunities through research, networking,
- and industry events
- Lead or participate in business meetings and collaborations with
- stakeholders across departments
- Track sales progress, forecast revenue, and produce management
- reports
- Mentor and leading a team of account managers
- Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8+ years of experience with a proven track record in business development, sales, or a relevant field
- Strong communication, contract negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in working with broker networks and 3rd party execution companies
- Proficiency with CRM software and common office tools (e.g., Salesforce, MS Office)
- Strong strategic planning, market research, and organizational abilities
- Able to travel 40-60% of the time away from a home office.
