About the Job

We are seeking a high-energy, relationship-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to help grow Splitero's wholesale channel by building and nurturing partnerships with mortgage brokers, lenders, and other referral partners. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective partners, educating them on Splitero's Home Equity Investment (HEI) product and converting them into active, producing referral relationships.

You will own the top of the wholesale funnel — prospecting, qualifying, and onboarding new partners while maintaining engagement with existing ones. You will report to the Manager of Wholesale and work closely with Account Executives, the Marketing team, and Production to ensure a seamless partner experience from first contact through funded deal. A strong phone presence, CRM discipline, and a genuine passion for helping homeowners access their equity will be critical for success in this role.

  • Prospect for and identify new referral partners, including mortgage brokers, real estate agents, financial planners, and credit unions, within assigned territories or verticals.
  • Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and social media to introduce Splitero's HEI product and value proposition to prospective partners.
  • Qualify and onboard new wholesale partners, ensuring they have the tools, training, and resources needed to submit and close deals.
  • Educate partners on Splitero's guidelines, pricing, and processes through product presentations, webinars, and one-on-one calls.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up cadences with both prospective and existing partners to drive pipeline activity and deal flow.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to transition warm, high-potential partner relationships and ensure a seamless handoff.
  • Track all partner interactions, pipeline activity, and deal flow accurately in Salesforce CRM.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build brand presence and generate new partner leads.
  • Provide field feedback to the Marketing and Product teams to help shape messaging, collateral, and product development.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs, including outreach activity, new partners onboarded, and funded deal volume sourced.

This role offers on-target earnings of $110,000 per year, including a $50,000 base, paid hourly, and uncapped monthly commissions.

About You

  • 1–3 years of experience in a sales, business development, or account management role; experience in mortgage, real estate, or fintech is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with Home Equity Investment (HEI), Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC), reverse mortgages, or alternative lending products is highly desirable
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding outbound sales or pipeline generation targets
  • Strong phone presence and confidence in conducting discovery conversations with financial professionals
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM; ability to manage a high-volume pipeline with accuracy and discipline
  • Experience with sales engagement tools and outreach cadences (Salesforce Sales Engagement / High Velocity Sales preferred)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment where priorities shift, and adaptability is key
  • Self-starter mentality,  you don't wait to be told what to do next
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to simplify complex financial products for diverse audiences
  • Adaptability: Embraces change with resiliency and a positive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Team-Oriented: Prioritizes collaboration, inclusivity, and teammate support

About Us

Millions of homeowners in today’s economy are sitting on substantial home equity that they are unable to access due to rising interest rates and strict qualification requirements of traditional lenders. That means millions of homeowners can’t convert their hard-earned equity into cash to pay off debt, start a home renovation, or pad their retirement to better their lives.

Splitero co-founders Michael Gifford and David Zvaifler witnessed the problem firsthand throughout their real estate careers. They set out to create a win-win product that could help those homeowners access their home equity but not make monthly payments like traditional financing options. And thus, Splitero was born.

As part of our team, you will join our quest to revolutionize the real estate industry while helping families in need. We offer a suite of benefits designed to help you thrive in all areas of life.

  • OneTeam Culture - We foster a culture of transparency, innovation, and inclusivity, where every voice is heard and every team member is valued. We believe in celebrating our successes, doing the right thing, and helping each other so we grow as a team and as individuals.
  • Generous Resources - We want to ensure you are set up to do your best work. In addition to a solid tech stack, and access to any WeWork location, you will receive a monthly cell and internet stipend.
  • Premium Healthcare - We offer comprehensive healthcare plans for you and your family, which employees are eligible for on their first day.
  • Flexible PTO and Parental Leave - We offer a generous PTO and encourage employees to take time off to recharge. We're proud to offer a parental leave policy that allows you to welcome your new addition without worry.

We are a workforce composed of individuals with diverse backgrounds, abilities, minds, and identities. In keeping with our commitment to inclusion, we will ensure that people with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations. If reasonable accommodations are required when applying, interviewing, or performing the essential functions of this position, please contact People Operations, at [email protected].
