Position Summary/Objective

The Business Development Representative is responsible for following up on marketing generated leads, researching prospective accounts to identify catalyst for change, developing key contacts, outbound prospecting via phone / email, collaborating with Marketing and Sales, as well as team members across the organization all with the goal of engaging prospects to learn more about OneSource Virtual and Workday.  In this role you will learn effective prospecting and selling strategies to successfully position OneSource Virtual and Workday as an alternative to legacy software and service solutions.

Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities

  • Identify, contact and develop qualified leads
  • Directly perform cold calling and warm calling activities to leads from the website, trade shows, webinars, direct marketing campaigns and other lead sources
  • Deliver a value proposition via phone conversations that will engage new prospects and develop leads
  • Provide rapid, professional follow-up to product inquiries and fulfill information requests
  • Develop, qualify and nurture leads from “in scope” prospects
  • Pro-actively manage, develop and enrich our CRM (SalesForce.com) database of customers, prospects and partners
  • Conduct cold-calling campaigns to actively prospect the market
  • Work in a team environment with Sales leadership and account executives to develop lead generation campaigns and prospect development strategies
  • Conduct lead review meetings with the sales team
  • Attend and support the organization at marketing events, when requested

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Sales and marketing or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ sales experience in an Inside Sales, marketing or sales support role
  • Experience in a software and complex sales environment
  • Customer facing and presentation experience in a sales environment
  • Experience driving telephone, social media and web-based communications with customers and prospects
  • Experience managing customer contacts and sales process in Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Enterprise Networking solutions experience, and market knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of IP networking, data communications and wireless communication systems is beneficial
  • Salesforce.com experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite is essential
  • Market experience and web-based marketing strategies is beneficial
  • General understanding of cloud technology
  • Experience using internet and LinkedIn for research and developing contacts

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in an Inside Sales, marketing or sales support role
  • Experience in a software and sales environment
  • Knowledge of Professional Services and Service type business
