At Hitachi Energy, we’re seeking a Business Development Manager to lead strategic initiatives in the FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) market across the United States. Based in Raleigh, NC, this role is your opportunity to shape the future of grid stability and power quality. How you’ll make an impact
Lead business development activities focused on the FACTS market segment in the U.S.
Identify and pursue new opportunities aligned with strategic growth goals
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and proposal teams to craft winning solutions
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients
Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience in Engineering, Technical Sales, Project Management, Bids & Proposals, or Business Development in FACTS applications.
Proven success in client engagement and revenue growth
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Willingness to travel extensively—up to 40–50% domestically and internationally
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
