Objective:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies, enhancing our customer base in the Commercial & Industrial Segment, expanding our digital energy solution’s reach within the transmission and distribution domain. You will identify new business opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and work closely with our technical and sales teams to deliver value-driven solutions to our clients. You will work closely with C&I Customers to understand their needs, identify opportunities, and deliver innovative solutions in building management solutions, substation solutions integration, power systems, advanced automation gateway systems, microgrids, cybersecurity and more.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in C&I Segment.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and market expansion goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utility companies, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction with our solutions.
- Drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial objectives.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and demonstrations tailored to customer requirements.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability while meeting customer expectations.
- Work closely with the product development, solution engineering and energy services teams to ensure our solutions meet market demands and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute effective campaigns and promotional activities.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to senior management.
- Track opportunities, manage pipelines, and provide accurate sales forecasts.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- Should have 8 years of experience in BD, sales, or a related role within the industry segment.
- Proven track record of successfully selling digital energy solution to the Commercial & Industrial segment.
- Deep understanding of industry challenges and opportunities.
- Strong network of contacts within the specific industry segment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
