Primary Responsibilities:
Agency Recruitment & Development:
- Recruit, build, nurture, and retain independent Asian agents and agencies nationwide across assigned scopes and business lines
- Develop and maintain strong, long term agency relationships to support sustained growth and production
- Identify and refer brokers to appropriate sales teams, including commercial group sales
Business Development & Growth Execution:
- Conduct regularly scheduled, structured business review meetings with agencies to assess performance, identify opportunities, and drive growth
- Support agencies to increase revenue and production across UnitedHealthcare businesses, including Medicare, IFP, GRIC, fixed indemnity, individual ancillary, and multi carrier offerings
- Drive cross sell, product adoption, and expansion of agency product portfolios, including GRIC and system adoption
Cross Functional Coordination:
- Serve as a liaison and coordinator between Asian Initiatives sales teams and local market sales partners, including:
- Medicare Market Growth Managers
- IFP Market Managers
- GRIC sales teams
- Golden Outlook Territory Managers
- Ensure agencies receive consistent, aligned support across all applicable business lines and markets
Agency Engagement & Field Presence:
- Attend and participate in agency in person meetings, trainings, educational seminars, and community events
- Engage with carrier partners, providers, and other centers of influence to generate leads and facilitate local marketing initiatives
- Coordinate and support local marketing and community engagement activities as needed
Centers of Influence & Community Development:
- Develop relationships with community organizations to enhance local area marketing and agency reach, including hospitals, clinics, senior centers, and local associations
- Strengthen community presence to support demographic expansion in Asian markets nationwide
Operational & Lifecycle Support:
- Act as a point of contact between agencies and internal sales process owners to support the full agency lifecycle, including:
- Contracting and licensing
- Appointments and certifications
- Training and onboarding
- Enrollment administration
- Commission payments
- Agent servicing and compliance
- Ensure newly onboarded agents reach "Ready to Sell" status efficiently, prioritizing cases pending beyond established timeframes in coordination with onboarding specialists
Communication & Reporting:
- Communicate timely updates, program information, and operational guidance to agencies and agents via established channels
- Support reporting and tracking related to agency engagement and business development activities

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working with brokers/navigators and building community-based enrollment models
- Experience developing culturally responsive marketing strategies and in-language community education programs
- Familiarity with operations and compliance requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in one or more languages commonly spoken in Asian communities (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese)
- Willing and able to travel 75% +/- depending on business need (travel is across the US most often to TX, IL, WA, CA, NY, NJ).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting CMS-regulated products (e.g., Medicare Advantage)
