Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Lead to join our New Business Team. This team is focused on driving new business, building a robust revenue pipeline with high-value advertisers, and accelerating revenue growth for Yahoo Japan and LINE’s global clients.
This Business Development Lead will spearhead global advertising growth for Yahoo Japan and LINE by cultivating key relationships with media agencies and brands across EMEA and the U.S. This individual contributor role serves as a vital link between global clients and the Japanese market, driving revenue through strong partnerships and proactive business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquire, grow, and manage relationships with key media agencies and brands in EMEA and the U.S. interested in the Japanese market, fostering partnerships to drive advertising revenue.
Identify and engage new prospects through a variety of outreach strategies, while maintaining a healthy and active pipeline of leads.
Lead end-to-end new business initiatives, guiding prospects through the pitching process with timely communication and follow-up.
Serve as the primary contact for new clients, delivering ongoing support and strategic insights to nurture long-term partnerships.
Conduct market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, identify opportunities, and inform strategic plans.
Collaborate closely with client service teams in Tokyo and California to ensure seamless campaign execution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree is a plus.
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within digital media, advertising, or marketing.
Strong knowledge of international digital advertising markets, particularly in EMEA and North America.
Proven success building and managing relationships with media agencies and brand clients.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders.
Experience working with multinational brands and navigating complex global/local marketing needs.
Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global environment.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and passionate about business growth.
Proficiency in English required; fluency in French or German is a plus.
Willingness to travel as needed.

The compensation for this position ranges from $102,000.00 - $212,500.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
