Job Summary
Independence Pet Holdings (IPH) is seeking a Business Development Executive - Strategic Partnerships to identify and secure new business opportunities across North America. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth through consultative selling, relationship management, and strategic partnerships with Large Enterprise C-Level stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated sales professional with a proven track record of new client acquisition, complex sales negotiations, and high-revenue deal management.

Main Responsibilities

Seek out and secure new strategic partnerships within the IPH group of companies.

Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial outreach to closing deals and contract negotiations.

Develop and maintain long-term consultative relationships with key enterprise clients.

Convert viable prospects into active clients by demonstrating the value of pet insurance and related products.

Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to deliver against revenue and sales targets.

Meet and exceed KPI goals by ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities.

Effectively manage complex, high-revenue sales processes across matrixed business environments.

Develop and execute customized account strategies to align with partner needs and corporate objectives.

Act as a trusted advisor by delivering insights, practical tools, and data-driven solutions to partners.

Work cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, finance, IT, and operations) to optimize partnerships.

Own monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasting and account planning.

Ensure accurate pipeline tracking, sales forecasting, and reporting to leadership.

Provide market and competitive insights to inform sales and business development strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One year of relevant experience = One year of college).

5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably within complex, intangible sales environments.

Proven business development or new client acquisition experience in a selling role.

Experience selling to and influencing C-Level executives in enterprise organizations.

Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Strong ability to manage and forecast a complex sales process.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain vehicle insurance for travel to customer sites.
Other:

Travel up to 40% - 70% within the U.S. to meet business needs.

Attend industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings to expand market presence.
