About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Development Consultant on The Institutional Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) Team within Wealth & Investment Management. The OCIO Team is one of the fastest growing offerings within WIM. The Team provides investment management solutions for Institutional clients including Foundations, Endowments, Charitable Trusts, and other philanthropic organizations. This national investment team partners with philanthropic specialists and relationship managers across Wells Fargo Private Bank and Wells Fargo Advisors to help our client organizations grow their impact in the communities they serve. The Business Development Consultant will play a key role in the management of the OCIO sales pipeline, collaborating with key stakeholders, growing search consultant channel, reporting to management and helping customize quality RFPs (Requests for Proposals). The role would support our existing Head of Business Development and Head of OCIO. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, an understanding of investment management and institutional investment practices, and a team-oriented attitude.
In this role, you will:

Collaborate with Financial Advisors, Philanthropic Specialists, Portfolio Managers and Bankers on sales pipeline to identify and qualify OCIO prospects

Monitor and manage the sales pipeline as a team to ensure seamless progression from lead identification to RFP submission to Finals presentations

Track progress and outcomes of sales efforts, maintaining detailed reporting for senior management

Implement data driven approach to prospecting for Financial Advisors and Market Leaders

Manage RFP process end-to-end, ensuring RFP responses and finals presentations are customized to address client-specific needs

Build relationships with internal and external teams to strengthen referral channels and prospect engagement

Identify process improvements and technology enhancements aimed at scaling the OCIO business

Collaborate on marketing initiatives to highlight the OCIO platform’s unique value proposition

Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to inform strategic priorities
Required Qualifications:
-
4+ years of Wealth Investment Consulting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Competencies:
-
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field; MBA and/or CFA designation is a plus.

4+ years of experience in investment management, OCIO services, or a related field, with a strong understanding of fiduciary principles. Brokerage experience is a plus.

Experience tracking sales pipelines and prospecting activities including relationship management in a financial services environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and build strong relationships.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with nonprofit investment solutions and institutional investment management.

Self-starter with a results-driven approach to business development

Excellent public speaking and presentation skills

Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In addition state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at the time of offer acceptance.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$96,600.00 - $171,800.00
