Position Overview
We're searching for a Business Analyst to join our Solution Services team to help us develop and deliver custom technology solutions to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for writing business requirements and creating design documentation for all Solution Services projects, across all product platforms. The Business Analyst will work closely with our architecture and development teams to provide the best client solution possible. Project design duties will include working with customers to document business needs and workflows combined with protype screenshots and flows. Once approved by the customer, you will present all documentation to development for execution. The Business Analyst will be responsible for quality assurance testing and communication with the customer until project completion. This role will require involvement in all relevant Applied product readiness streams to stay up to date on the latest releases and product functionality.

What You'll Do
Technical Development & Programming:
- Review, analyze, and define business requirements with our customers
- Participation and lead client discovery sessions
- Communicate internally with management, architecture, and development to coordinate planning of a successful project and execution of work
- Regularly meet with customers to communicate analyze, solution, present, and receive feedback on project work
- Provide quality assurance on all projects by testing all custom work before it's delivered to the client
- Assisting education with the development of training materials as needed
- Execute implementation of standard tools and products via working sessions with the client
We're Excited to Learn More About You
Your experience may include: [3-6, depending on seniority level]
- 2-3 years business analyst experience and work 100% remote in Canada
- Strong attention to detail - the ability to analyze and communicate the business and technical requirements
- Solid understanding and proven experience in requirements definition and management techniques including business process, use case, personas, workflow, and data modeling
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience producing detailed requirements documentation for software applications and conducting client facing discovery
- Experience with workflows/designing/diagramming enterprise software applications
- Experience developing QA processes and developing training material
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (2-3 years) in the areas of Information Science, Computer Science, Insurance, or related disciplines
You may have other skills or credentials, including:
- Development background
- Insurance related experience
- Database and end-user experience for Agency Management System
- Experience with Visio, Figma or similar design tools
- Experience with Confluence/JIRA or similar tools
