As a Business Configuration Analyst, you will work with the Product Systems Manager, Module Owners, Technical Product Managers and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into Apex policy manuscript configurations. It requires familiarity with the insurance product and rate filings, rating algorithms, manuscript structure, system level configurations, and code release process. The configuration analyst will be able to interact effectively with business and technical partners to achieve the given business objectives.

What you’ll do
- Convert business requirements into the inheritance model, schema, page designs, and logic required to run the Apex policy and rating products.
- Document configuration changes and maintain version control.
- Write user stories for configurators as needed.
- Work closely with QA on test scenario creation and end to end testing processes to ensure accurate manuscript validation and quality.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the area of policy system configurations.
- Ability to make minor product and rating updates to policy manuscripts as needed.
- Continuously work to improve Duck Creek domain knowledge and take on more technical change requests.
- Support and maintain rating calculators for all Apex programs.
- Deploy data fixes as needed to resolve compliance issues and ensure data integrity across Apex programs.
- Stay up to date with Duck Creek core system enhancements and active delivery changes. Analyzing their impact on current or future manuscript configurations.

- Successful completion of Duck Creek Policy Bootcamp Assessment
- Successful completion of Duck Creek University Policy Configurator Certification
- Understanding of versioning code changes through Git
- Minimum three years SQL reporting and scripting experience
- Minimum five years Excel experience
- Experience with XML and JSON preferred

- Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
