As a Business Analyst supporting the development and implementation of auto insurance products across multiple states, you’ll be responsible for translating regulatory product filings including rates, rules, and forms, into clear, actionable business requirements for configuration teams. This position is a key part of our insurance product delivery team and plays an important role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in how we bring products to market. You will work closely with Product Managers, Regulatory Compliance, Actuarial, and IT teams to support the build and maintenance of policy configurations that align with approved filings and business objectives. What you’ll do
·Analyze state-specific insurance product filings (rates, rules, and forms) to extract business requirements for implementation in the policy administration system.
·Collaborate with Product Managers and Filing Analysts to understand regulatory intent and product strategy.
·Translate filing documents into structured business requirements, user stories, or configuration specifications for policy, rating, and rules engines.
·Work with IT and configuration teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented accurately.
·Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and user story review sessions to support Agile development processes.
·Assist in the validation of product configurations during QA and UAT, ensuring alignment with approved filings and business expectations.
·Document product requirements, decision logs, and changes in a consistent and traceable format.
·Monitor and support the resolution of defects related to configuration, rate discrepancies, or form generation.
·Stay informed of changes in regulatory guidelines and assist in impact analysis for existing products.
This might describe you
·Strong experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within the personal lines auto insurance industry.
·Working knowledge of auto insurance product structures and regulatory filings (rates, rules, forms)
·Ability to read and interpret insurance filing documents, circulars, or regulatory bulletins.
·Strong analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
·Experience writing business requirements, user stories, or functional specifications.
·Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools such as Jira, ADO, or Confluence.
·Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working with both business and technical teams.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with policy admin systems or rating engines is a plus.
·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
·Experience with ISO or state-specific filings.
·Exposure to policy administration systems (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire).
·Interest in regulatory compliance, insurance operations, or product development.

May require travel for quarterly events.
Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
