Business Analyst – Product Development
Job Summary
The Business Analyst (Product Development) will be responsible for driving the analysis, improvement, and support of systems and processes related to the product development lifecycle. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, design, sourcing, merchandising, tech design and IT to gather business requirements, document workflows, and identify opportunities to optimize tools and processes that support the creation and management of product data.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand product development workflows, pain points, and system needs.
- Serve as a liaison between business and IT to support issue resolution, system enhancements, and user acceptance testing.
- Develop functional specifications, use cases, process flows, and training documentation.
- Provide training and develop training materials, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support daily operations of global and regional applications tied to product development.
- Assist in change management and communication efforts related to process or system updates.
- Monitor system performance, support end users, and help drive adoption through best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Kontoor policies regarding system access, data security and change control.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the retail, fashion, or consumer goods industry.
- Understanding of product development processes and lifecycle management (e.g. Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g. Jira)
- Knowledge of database systems (e.g. SQL, Oracle, MySQL)
- Ability to create training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
