SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst II will serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical and process solutions to meet user needs. Review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs. Document requirements, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•    Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
•    Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
•    Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
•    Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
•    Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
•    Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs
•    Perform periodic reviews as required by the project and analyze current processes using operational metrics and reports
•    Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
•    Analyze complex issues quickly and recommend options and course of action
•    Work with business users to gather business requirements for enhancements and new projects
•    Estimate work effort and build a business case for specific enhancements
•    Manage multiple tasks and priorities
•    Assist in the development of a project plan and timelines for project
•    Analyze, evaluate and document current business processes and procedures
•    Provide recommendations to leverage technology to improve business processes
•    Lead meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to achieve project objectives/goals

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Math, Computer Science/Information System or equivalent experience
•    3 - 5 years’ experience as a business analyst
•    Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude; negotiation, conflict resolution, risk management skills
•    Demonstrated ability to translate business processes into process diagrams
•    Proven ability to work in a changing/growing/fast-paced environment
•    Strong written and oral communications skills
•    Must be solution oriented and a creative problem solver
•    Ability to multi-task – able to manage long term projects along with high-priority tasks
•    Self-motivated, able to lead work steams independently
•    Good organization, time management skills and attention to detail
•    Ability to work across multiple teams, building relationships across those teams
•    Intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) skills 
•    Experience with Project Management Concepts and tools (MS Project, SmartSheet)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Consumer finance industry experience

COMPENSATION:

  • The salary range for this position is competitive based on the job duties as well as the specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience of the selected candidate.

  • This position is eligible for Semi Annual Incentive compensation based on individual and company performance guidelines.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

•    Primarily located in office environment
