What We Need:
As Synapse continues to scale and enhance its market-leading technology platform, the Business Analyst – Data Operations & Solutions will play a key role in supporting analytics and reporting needs across the business. Data Operations is a fast-growing team within our Solutions and Implementation division (S&I). Through technology driven solutions and strategic partnerships, Synapse is modernizing care delivery, streamlining operations, and expanding access to high-quality services.
This position will contribute to the growth of the business by developing and maintaining reports and dashboards, turning data into actionable insights, and supporting key operational decisions. The BI Reporting Analyst will help drive efficiency across referral workflows, fulfillment, and vendor performance by providing timely and accurate business intelligence to stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze business trends and performance metrics to deliver actionable insights that support strategic and operational decisions across the S&I Division.
- Meet with stakeholders from S&I, operations, growth and product to understand metric/KPI/reporting requirements and help convert them into BI solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards to track data load status, order processing performance, and data ingestion health.
- Support implementation analytics, ensuring clean tie-outs across systems and surfacing root-cause data issues impacting go-lives.
- Write, test, and deploy scripts and macros (JavaScript, Excel/VBA) for rapid data cleanup, reformatting, and enrichment tasks across large datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions and reporting frameworks.
- Help build shared knowledge and support methods of self-serve analytics across S&I and other domains.
- Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights and recommendations for diverse audiences.
- Develop familiarity with Synapse Health-related data domains (e.g., referrals, fulfillment timelines, vendor SLAs).
- Proactively document and standardize recurring analysis workflows, contributing to a living library of data tools for internal stakeholders.
What You Have:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in Analysis, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or similar roles.
- Proficiency with at least one data visualization tool—Sigma, Tableau, Looker, Omni, or similar (Sigma preferred).
- Proficient with SQL and how to interact with data on modern data stacks: Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.
- Strong Excel and VBA macro skills, large dataset normalization.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey the analytical story behind every dashboard to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to support day-to-day data platform operations and iterate quickly.
- Proven ability to learn new tools and technologies as the platform evolves.
- Healthcare or DME industry experience is a plus - Understanding of claims, orders, and payor data structures (HCPCS, NPI, plan types, etc.
