Senior Business Analyst – Card Issuing

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in card issuing (debit/credit/prepaid) and strong client engagement capabilities. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners, driving end-to-end delivery of card issuing initiatives across regulatory, operational, and digital domains.

This role requires strong analytical capabilities, structured thinking, and exceptional communication skills to manage senior stakeholders and clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis for card issuing initiatives (new products, migrations, enhancements, regulatory changes).
  • Elicit, document, and validate business requirements (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process maps).
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis across card platforms (e.g., processor, CMS, authorization systems).
  • Support UAT planning and execution, including test case definition and defect triage.
  • Drive process improvement and optimization across issuing lifecycle.
  • Act as primary interface between client business teams and internal delivery teams.
  • Build strong relationships across business, technology, operations, compliance, and external vendors.
  • Support steering committees and senior governance forums.

Required Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within banking or payments.
  • Proven hands-on experience in card issuing domain.
  • Experience working on large-scale transformation or system implementation projects.
  • Strong documentation skills (BRD, user stories, process flows, data mapping).
  • Experience working in Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Exposure to card management systems and payment processing platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with senior business leaders confidently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
