- Understand and translate business needs into detailed software requirements, ensuring that development efforts align with business objectives
- Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding of project scope and requirements
- Conduct gap analyses to identify business needs, propose solutions, and drive implementation within the development team
- Triage support tickets and assist the product owner with prioritizing tickets in the backlog
- Continuously review and refine documentation based on user feedback and software updates, ensuring clarity and accuracy
- Validate that delivered software meets specified requirements and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to define and refine business requirements for AI-driven features such as chatbots, copilots, and virtual agents, leveraging generative AI (GenAI) and large language model (LLM) technologies
- Stay informed on emerging AI trends and participate in initiatives that explore new ways to enhance user experiences and automate business processes

Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a business analyst
- 4+ years of experience working on an Agile delivery team
- 4+ years of experience with requirements analysis
- 4+ years of experience creating and maintaining user documentation
- 2+ years of experience with gap analyses identifying business needs, proposing solutions, and driving implementation within the development team
- Experience with generative AI concepts and tools (e.g., ChatGPT, agents, LLM-based applications) and enthusiasm for applying them to improve business processes and customer engagement
- Experience with Agile work management tools such as Jira, Rally, VersionOne
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with documentation tools using Markdown
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Underwriting experience or familiarity with the health insurance industry
- Experience with UX design and tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Axure
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Experience with the StepWise platform
