Budget Analyst, FP&A

We are seeking a Budget Analyst, FP&A to join FoundationCCC in its mission of benefiting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. What You’ll Do 

The Budget Analyst, FP&A is a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, working in collaboration with the finance, advancement, and programs teams. As a critical support to the Financial Planning and Analysis team, the Budget Analyst will assist in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities, leading to continuing financial sustainability, cost recovery strategies, and future insights. This position manages tight deadlines and a multitude of activities including costing allocations, budget proposal support, and the support of budget and forecast activities. As needed, this position may provide support to other Finance-related functions, such as the month-end close process.

  • Budget development for restricted revenue is required.

  •  Assists in the planning, coordination, and preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes through internal coordination, preparation, deadline management, and completion of assigned tasks.

  • May assist in the preparation, review and distribution of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including written analysis, supporting documentation and data visualization for internal and external audiences.

  • Practices ownership, takes accountability, and has the ability to project manage, prioritize tasks, and deliver quality products on time with limited supervision

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred.

  • Preferred minimum of two (2) + years of related work experience in finance or accounting.

  • Preferred minimum of two (2) + years of financial analysis, grant, project, and/or costing accounting experience preferred.

  • Any experience in an education or non-profit environment preferred. ​

  • Knowledge of Workday and Adaptive Planning technology systems is preferred.

  • Grant and/or fund accounting experience is preferred.

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:

$70,000.00 - $75,000.00

Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
