Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a BIM / VDC Manager - Waterworks. This role will be responsible for Mechanical Pipe modeling and coordination workflows for our customers in the Waterworks sector.

This is a fully remote role that will support the Waterworks Virtual Design & Construction team from anywhere in the continental United States. Our ideal candidate would be in the Eastern or Central time zone. The shift for this role is a typical corporate working schedule.

Key duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Facilitating ongoing collaboration among team personnel, including the sharing of standard processes and lessons learned.

  • Working with internal departments to understand current processes and advising in implementing BIM/VDC processes.

  • Ensuring that the team modeling and drafting concepts/details are accurately and clearly conveyed to customers.

  • Coordinating with customers on job set-up and standard processes for preconstruction requirements.

  • Leading initiatives for the integration of the digital model within the company workflow and process.

  • Assisting in creating and maintaining standard regional and global templates and family libraries.

  • Helping design, shape, and implement group structure to achieve maximum team efficiency.

  • Leading strategic planning and decision-making to drive the team's direction and success.

  • Training, mentoring, and developing a team with general skills and BIM capabilities.

  • Engaging in partnerships and alliances to expand the team's network and reach.

  • Participating in speaking opportunities within the industry.

  • Participating in the modeling of projects, as required.

  • Minimizing rework and revisions through QA/QC.

  • Reviewing design and construction documents.

  • Achieving responsible financial targets.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction science, architecture, or similar field is preferred.

  • 5+ years of work experience in virtual design and construction or engineering.

  • High degree of integrity, good attention to detail, and ability to think critically.

  • Ability to discuss projects with and facilitate open communications.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential.

  • Strong background in mechanical contracting and system design.

  • Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, and other Autodesk software.

  • Previous group management or leadership experience preferred.

  • Experience with pipe fabrication standards and requirements.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with standard processes for BIM collaboration.

  • Experience with a contractors is highly preferred.

  • Waterworks experience is highly preferred.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Pay Range:

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$6,374.70 - $13,933.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
