The Senior Telesales Agent conducts selling activities related to inbound calls inquiring about individual health plan products. The Senior Telesales Agent work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Telesales Agent qualifies prospects and attempts to close sale and successfully handle consumer calls that may require the use of an interpreter or TTY service.  May originate calls from leads. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Has current Active Health Insurance License or the ability to obtain license
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages without limitations or assistance
  • Demonstrates strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to connect meaningfully with customers to build emotional engagement and customer advocacy
  • Simplify complexity and integrate internal efforts to deliver an optimal customer experience
  • Easily adapt to learning new software/programs and follows call flow processes and procedures
  • You must be available and willing to work any shift between 7:00am — 2:00am including weekends and overtime during peak season from approximately September - December
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences and able to navigate stressful situations

  • Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Work at Home Connectivity Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.
  • Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership.  (See Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL Connection in Exceptions, Section 7.0 in this policy.)

Dual ISP Requirement inspection and verification process:

Requirements for DMS new hires

• Home office must support dual ISP and in home wiring.

• Home office area must support having the dual circuits in the office area and sufficient electrical outlets to support network and UPS equipment.

• Offers of employment are contingent upon a site & ISP survey and hardware installation by a third-party vendor.

The candidate's address may be provided to the third-party vendor prior to extending an offer, solely for the purpose of conducting a virtual assessment to determine whether the location meets the internet service requirements necessary for the role. To proceed in this manner, it is required that candidates be informed, in advance, that their address information will be shared with a third-party vendor for this limited purpose.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$48,800 - $65,900 per year


 

This job is eligible for a commission incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
