Overview:

The BI Consultant role is an incredibly exciting position in one of the fastest growing segments of AMEND. You will be working to solve real-world problems by designing cutting edge analytic solutions while surrounded by a team of world-class talent. We need someone who is a problem solver, a critical thinker, and is always wanting to go after new things—you’ll never be doing the same thing twice!
Job Tasks: 
  • Build automated dashboards from scratch using Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Perform statistical data analysis on large data sets, resulting in impactful insights and outcomes
  • Work with a variety of clients in a variety of industries to source required data for dashboards
  • Provide strategic input on data-driven decision-making and proper KPI’s
  • Develop net new calculations to produce required dashboard metrics/KPI's
  • Build and maintain user documentation, architecture designs, and data flow diagrams
  • Solve challenging problems by utilizing analytics
  • Identify opportunities to add value to the client's organization by effective use of information management
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders responsible for information and performance management in client's organization
  • Lead change management efforts in client’s organization

Qualifications: 
  • Two (2) years of hands-on development experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack utilizing a variety of BI tools
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, client-facing role where delivering solid work products to exceed high expectations is a measure of success
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • (Preferred) Experience in utilizing tools such as R, SAS, Python, etc.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
  • A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
  • Ability to interface with multiple other business functions (internally and externally)
  • Desire to build analytical competencies in others within the business
  • Curiosity to ask questions and challenge the status quo
  • Creativity to devise out-of-the-box solutions
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet client requirements
