Summary of the Role: Join our dynamic Employee Benefits team in a pivotal support role that combines analytical prowess with client-focused service. As a key member of the team, you will engage in daily data analysis and reporting, tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Your responsibilities will include managing and meticulously reviewing vendor reports to ensure accuracy, creating comprehensive client-specific reports that provide valuable insights, and participating in meetings to discuss findings and strategies. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals passionate about data-driven decision-making and exceptional client service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build new financial models to improve financial analysis reporting and/or renewal process
- Collaborate with Unit Leader to build, develop and implement processes and procedure for maximum value and efficiency
- Quality review/proof exhibits prepared by analysts for mathematical, formulaic, spelling, grammatical and branding errors and ensure the exhibits are client ready
- Lead financial analysis and develop high-level, multi-year financial strategies for clients
- Make recommendations regarding financial issues including appropriate renewal rating, cost drivers, plan design changes and funding methods
- Prepare and lead discussions around weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports that are inclusive of claims, budget/premium, payroll contributions, membership, high claimants and network utilization
- Develop and present renewal projections for medical, dental and vision
- Complete renewal analysis and support the carrier negotiation process
- Prepare renewal financial summary
- Perform financial modeling of plan designs, employee contributions, specific stop loss, incurred claims and the financial impact of potential mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
- Perform IBNR reserve analysis
- Prepare and present stop loss sensitivity analysis for self‐insured clients
- Facilitate special projects as requested of the Data Analytics and Reporting Unit
- Support the sales process through financial analysis and present to clients upon request
- Attend seminars, sales meetings or educational activities to stay up‐to‐date on the latest developments, trends and regulations in the market place
- Build and maintain solid relationships with clients as well as carrier sales representatives and consultants
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Ability to correspond on all financial issues in a clear, concise and persuasive manner
- Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from consultants, clients and coworkers
- Dedicated work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence
- Well organized with the ability to handle several projects/clients simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of the group insurance marketplace including alternative funding methods and industry trends
- Working knowledge of carriers and products
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with Power BI and Visual Basic
- Travel required as needed
Education and/or Experience:
- Four-year college or university degree. Finance/Statistics/Mathematics, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or related studies is highly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in an Analytics or Financial role preferred

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $90,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
