Consumer, Small & Business Banking Operations
Consumer, Small & Business Banking Operations delivers a broad set of operational processes supporting CSBB customers, including customer servicing, ATM management, cash vaults, print solutions, estate care, and various retail banking processes such as abandoned property, legal orders, account reconciliation, and account maintenance.
The Role
The Business Execution Executive for Banking Operations Transformation will lead the delivery of strategic, transformational priorities for Banking Operations within CSBBO.
This role is responsible for:
  • Articulating a unified transformation vision for Banking Operations-defining what we aim to achieve, why it matters, and how it drives value;
  • Aligning transformation goals with business strategy, establishing a clear roadmap and executing delivery in partnership with key partner (incl. Technology);
  • Ensuring that all initiatives are purpose-driven and powered by advanced technologies, accelerating innovation and maximizing operational excellence.
This long-term strategic role provides executive oversight and coordinated transparency across CSBBO Banking Operations transformation efforts. It drives execution of the strategic vision and ensures alignment between high-level objectives and operational realities. The primary focus is to ensure successful execution of a large, multi-year transformation program that spans the enterprise, modernizing Banking Operations capabilities across Cash Management, Check Processing, Print Services, and Case Management-functions that support multiple Wells Fargo lines of business (e.g. Account Maintenance, Legal Order Processing, Estate Care).
As a highly visible leadership position, this role partners closely with senior leaders in Operations, Technology and Lines of Business to deliver critical technological upgrades. It demands deep operational expertise, strategic foresight, and tactical execution capabilities. The executive must be adept at understanding business needs and facilitating complex technology delivery, overseeing integrated product development, and translating strategic goals into actionable operational outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
  • Build and lead a high-performing Transformation Office, establishing routines that ensure transparency, track deliverables, monitor key metrics, and manage risk.
  • Leverage advanced technologies to drive transformation, fostering innovation, operational excellence and scalable growth.
  • Assess program interdependencies and frame complex decisions, balancing business and technology tradeoffs to provide clarity to executive leadership.
  • Foster a culture of trust, accountability, innovation, and transparency, enabling Banking Operations to successfully adopt and evolve transformational changes.
  • Deliver executive-level transparency and oversight, through strategic networking, presentations, and reporting to senior leadership and regulatory bodies..
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 4+ years of management experience.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Seasoned senior leader demonstrating progressive responsibility in leadership positions with strong customer & digital leadership experience, including operational experience.
  • Demonstrated a strong history of execution, exceptional business acumen and critical thinking, proven ability to lead change in a large-scaled and complex organization, and experience with cutting-edge technology (GenAI, ML).
  • Experience leading large, complex, cross-functional programs in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environments.
  • Experience building and delivering transformational roadmaps, inclusive of people, process, systems, and technology.
  • Expert cutting-edge technical aptitude and proven execution, driving Automated Intelligence and Machine Learning to deliver meaningful outcomes .
  • Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization, create a strong collaborative environment, develop partnerships with many business and functional areas across Wells Fargo.
  • Effective relationship management and the ability to influence and create an environment that fosters collaboration and credible challenge across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; effective in communication across variety of audiences and constituencies, including executive management.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts so that they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions.
  • Ability to understand operational impacts of technical decisions; able to translate to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proven change leader with the ability to drive multiple work streams at once as an "influencer", driving results; operational experience a plus.
  • Background and passion for talent development and models the value of an inclusive workplace .
  • "Roll up your sleeves hands- on" leadership style with strong bias for action.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-centric design/ journey mapping & current technology practices (Agile, Cloud Computing/SaaS, Analytics & Data Management, etc.) is desired.
  • Effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skill that is execution-focused and results oriented.
  • Self-directed, results driven, and comfortable with ambiguity; i.e.; comfortable taking a vague initiative and creating a definitive plan.
  • Strong ability to maintain a strategic perspective while managing detailed tasks.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$250,000.00 - $420,000.00
