About the role:
As a Backend Software Engineer for Accompany Health you'll contribute to the development and maintenance of our backend systems while growing your technical expertise in a collaborative environment and be:
-A mission-critical, early part of our growing team (and company).Collaborate with various teams, including Product, Sales, and Clinical Team, to rewire health care.
-Your choices will matter; and you will work across various teams to help execute the choices.
-You will build the products to integrate highly fragmented and dispersed healthcare services as an end-to-end experience.
-Be part of building a great engineering culture, maintaining the balance and right tradeoff for building products for speed and tech debt.
Responsibilities will include:
- Embrace and champion engineering best practices with the team
- Produce clean, high quality, and well tested codeWork with engineers, product managers, designers, and other collaborators to build our tech platform
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in development and production environments
- Assist in maintaining and improving existing features while contributing to new functionality
- Document technical specifications and processes
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in programming in Go, Java, C/C++, Python, Ruby, or Scala in internship , college projects, or personal projects
- You are mission-driven and can present your ideas with clarity and confidenceHave an excellent executive presence to communicate the team's vision/plan effectively
- A self-starter with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with version control systems (Git)Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Basic knowledge of database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL)
