Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Payment Systems Engineer to help build out their new B2B credit card issuing platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive payment processing infrastructure to support integrations with multiple banks and credit card providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a secure, PCI DSS compliant internal ledger system to manage credit card transactions
Integrate with various bank and credit card APIs to enable card issuance and processing
Ensure the platform meets all necessary regulatory and compliance requirements
Work closely with the existing engineering team to seamlessly integrate the new payment system
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
Deliver the initial payment system within a 2-3 month timeframe
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience building payment processing or financial technology systems
Expertise in back-end development, ideally with experience in Node.js
Deep understanding of credit card processing, PCI compliance, and banking integrations
Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
This is a full-time contract role with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position, depending on performance and business needs.
The expected hourly rate range is $65-$90 USD.
