At Kunai, we help our clients modernize, capitalize on emerging trends, and evolve their business for the coming decades by remaining tech-agnostic and human-centered.

Kunai is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to lead the build-out and operationalization of our enterprise Azure Landing Zone. Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure secure identity and access management.

  • Architect and maintain network design that supports scalability, performance, and security.

  • Define and apply Azure Policies and guardrails to enforce compliance and governance.

  • Build hydration automation to streamline landing zone deployment and configuration.

  • Establish robust telemetry and monitoring for observability, incident response, and continuous improvement.

  • Implement cost management and chargeback models to optimize cloud spend and promote accountability across business units.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, and managing Azure cloud environments in enterprise settings.

  • Strong expertise in role-based access controls, network architecture, and cloud security best practices.

  • Experience with Azure Policy, governance, and automation (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or equivalent).

  • Hands-on experience in automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for cloud environments.

  • Familiarity with monitoring/telemetry solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).

  • Proven ability to design and manage cost control and chargeback models within Azure.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across engineering, operations, and security teams.

Our success over the past 20 years is rooted in our exceptional team, which thrives in a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.
We are proud to offer our employees a range of benefits, including competitive compensation, professional development opportunities, and flexible work arrangements, all designed to help them thrive. As we continue to expand, we remain committed to cultivating an environment where people feel valued, have a voice, and are given the tools to grow—both personally and professionally—while pushing the boundaries of innovation in the fintech industry.
