We focus on tailoring solutions to cater to clients’ needs by offering a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, trade finance, custody services, working capital finance, term loans, digital assets services, foreign exchange, fixed income and credit products, derivative hedging solutions and the entire suite of capabilities in our newly formed investment banking team combining fixed income capital markets and DBS Vickers equities capabilities. Through our continued commitment, DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its customers in the region and beyond, which are based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards.

Role Description

- Relationship Manager (RM) within the team covering institutional investors with a key focus on hedge funds

- Support senior RMs and team leads as needed, engaging in clear and constant communication in support of the team’s overall business objectives

- Collaborate with partner country FIG teams, product and sales teams to drive global growth for FIG and II strategy, cultivating new client relationships and deepen existing ones

- Identify attractive business opportunities and interpret client objectives as a relationship manager (RM). To engage in financing and other solutions to grow wallet share and deepen client relationships

- Responsible for the onboarding and periodic review of new public market fund accounts to DBS and work with the team to prepare credit memos, complete annual reviews and support the segment lead to put together strategy papers that support business growth

- Assess adequacy of team and internal processes/tools to manage portfolios and achieve clients’ objectives

- Participate in the internal risk management process surrounding client portfolios and suggest improvements

- Support a smoother end to end journey for customers from onboarding to settlement of trades by working closely with product teams and support units


Requirements

- Prior experience covering hedge funds will be preferred

- Recognised Degree qualification in Economics/Business/Finance/Engineering, or relevant discipline with at least 5 to 8 years of prior experience in the funds space, particularly in dealing with public market products, derivatives, FICC and equities

- Strong knowledge of global market products and services

- Has existing client network across the region, especially for hedge funds

- Familiarity with credit/ finance/accounting concepts and master documentation eg. ISDA GMRA GMSLA

- Strong risk and control mindset coupled with growth and entrepreneurial mindset to seek continuous improvements in personal and business development

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment

- Strong individual contributor with initiative, and collaborative to partner effectively with product and country teams
