Job Description
As the AVP of Treasury at LPL Financial, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and delivering insight on our cash sweep portfolio, which produces roughly half of our enterprise EBITDA. Work closely with internal and external business partners and vendors to gather data, create customized reporting tools, explore and socialize timeseries analysis, cohort comparisons, industry benchmarking, and macro-economic trends all in service of developing a deep understanding of client cash sweep trends, behavior, benchmarking, and expectations within the Treasury department. This will include supporting our cash sweep program with regular program execution, scenario data and analysis, market research, reviewing bank and vendor contracts, and providing actionable intelligence to support strategic decision-making. In addition, you may assist colleagues with work such as preparing policies and procedures, executing and reviewing SOX controls, supporting internal and external control reviews and audits, and supporting the quarterly earnings process. Your responsibilities will be varied, and will encompass:
Responsibilities:
Client Cash Revenue and Cash Sweep Insights:
End-to-end ownership of the price elasticity analysis and resulting models on our cash sweep programs; come up to speed quickly, ask provocative questions, and drive colleagues to consider new solutions. Responsible for vendor oversight of external parties involved.
Cash Sweep Reporting and Intelligence:
Prepare and deliver actionable intelligence reports to management, providing past, present, and future insights into client cash behavior, price elasticity, industry trends and activity, market expectations, peer benchmarking, cohort analysis, performance, risks, and opportunities. You will have opportunities to produce and review reports leveraging Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and PowerPoint to summarize your work in presentations to management, to include:

Yield reporting; in aggregate and segmented

Yield expectations; (i) aggregate, (ii)incremental impact, and (iii) scenarios

Client behavior and trend analysis

Contract pipeline reporting

Contract capacity, terms, and maturation reporting

Peer and industry benchmarking for the cash sweep program

Market monitoring and reporting of macro-economic news and interest rate expectations

Ad hoc and recurring reporting needs for investor relations, quarterly earnings, and management inquiries and meetings
Team coordination:
Collaborate closely with colleagues in Treasury Operations, Capital Markets, FP&A, Investor Relations, Vendor Management, Financial Systems, Bank Counterparty Risk, etc. to create virtuous cycles of support and knowledge sharing. You will have rich insight into client cash behavior and movement, they have details on deposit demand, bank sector insight, deposit pricing, data availability, etc.

Strong comfort engaging with quantitative analysts and researchers on predictive modeling specifications, build, maintenance, and use

Preferences:

Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., MBA, CTP, CFA) is a plus

Preference toward background experience in financial services with client cash in banking and/or broker dealer services
Pay Range:
$96,900-$161,500/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
