Job Overview:

LPL Financial is currently searching for an Assistant Vice President, Investment Products Manager to join the Wealth Management Solutions (WMS) group. The Investment Product Management team within LPL’s Wealth Management Solutions (WMS) group is responsible for delivering a highly competitive set of investment solutions across the brokerage and advisory platforms. This includes the platform and product offering, advisor/client access to solutions, and promotional activities.  The team’s goal from an investment product management perspective is to enhance our advisors’ and investors’ experience while helping to improve our firm’s economic and risk profiles. The day-to-day product management activities range from expanding our product traded investment offering, to advisor support calls, addressing operational issues, and delivering new capabilities and/or minimize risk exposure to the firm. It is important to build strong and trusted relationships of partnership throughout the technology, compliance, legal, and operations teams. A preferred candidate would also have an understanding of the market landscape for investment and advisory offerings, including where the industry is trending and innovating.

The position requires an energetic candidate with a financial services background who can think independently, thrive in a fast-paced team environment, creatively problem-solve, connect various thoughts, observations, and results to develop innovative solutions and new insights that drive an improved offering. This role also requires the candidate to help build and deliver presentations that convey new ideas or complicated data to a variety of audiences within the firm, including senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Act a product owner for key investment product initiatives, including various complex product initiatives and improvements.

  • Leverage and continually grow industry knowledge to deliver competitive solutions that will enable LPL to recruit to and drive adoption across brokerage and advisory platforms.

  • Lead and drive projects, initiatives, decisions, and tasks forward to the successful execution of key priorities.

  • Capture feedback from advisors, stakeholders, and key partners, translating this feedback into insights and recommendations on improving the platform.

  • Gather competitive analysis for key strategic projects.

  • Partner across the firm to advance initiatives, enhancements, and remove roadblocks in Technology, Finance, Service/Trading, Operations, and Legal/Risk

  • Participate in the formulation of the product development roadmap

  • Build presentations and deliver findings to leadership and stakeholders

  • Member of the product review committees for traded and complex products.

  • Own the day-to-day product management which includes onboarding new strategies, management reporting, and resolving issues in a timely manner

  • Manage a team to support the product delivery and execution responsibilities; develop, mentor and expand responsibilities for the team.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in related field

  • 6+ years financial services experience; investment product/platform experience preferred

  • Series 7 and 63 licenses

  • 3 plus years mutual product experience

Core Competencies:

  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills required with the ability to communicate effectively to senior leadership

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deliver quality outcomes within short timeframes

Preferences:

  • Knowledgeable on the investment advisory product landscape, specifically offerings in UMAs (SMAs, Mutual Fund, and ETF Strategists) and future state platforms including familiarity with competition (broker-dealers, RIAs, TAMPs, etc.), platform/product trends, and regulation.

  • Advanced credential(s) such as MBA, CFA, CAIA or other is preferred


 

Pay Range:

$117,975-$196,625/year
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
