Job Overview

LPL Financial is seeking a Senior Network Engineer responsible for the design, engineering, and operations of our Infoblox (IPAM, DNS, DHCP) platform and LAN/WAN/Hybrid Data Center environments. This role focuses on delivering scalable, resilient, and secure networking solutions for LPL, our advisors, and their clients.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer, architect, and manage IPAM, DNS, and DHCP within the Infoblox platform (on-prem and cloud).

  • Manage enterprise IP addressing schemes (private and public).

  • Automate workflows and manage usage/performance, including integration with network tools.

  • Design and support core network routing and switching environments.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement continuous improvements.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule.

Requirements

  • Advanced/expert knowledge of DNS/DHCP/IPAM within the Infoblox platform.

  • 5+ years of core network engineering and architecture experience (routing & switching).

  • Strong knowledge of DNS protocols, security, and IPAM management.

  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco networking.

  • Advanced experience with Infoblox.

Core Competencies

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technology in business terms.

  • Experience designing, architecting, and implementing routing, switching, and data center solutions in multi-vendor environments.

Preferences

  • Experience with automation and Infoblox APIs.

  • Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.


 

Pay Range:

$100,575-$167,625/year
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
